Spellbinders 2012 Heirloom Ornaments

Hey everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying a dry and safe bonfire night! I'm back tonight with my second project as an Elliott's Angel for Hope and Chances Creativity

My die this month was the gorgeous and very apt 2012 Heirloom Ornaments, which if you're quick to click on the link you maybe able to grab a bargain, as these are currently on sale!

My first thought when I opened the envelope and saw the die set was 3D baubles! I had a few ideas of what I could do and this is what I came up with....

The first bauble I made by cutting the shapes from an old book and then gluing them together, adding a ribbon, bow and a charm, which my mom had given me some time ago from an old necklace.

The second bauble was made by cutting out pieces using two of the dies and then gluing them together as above to form a open work bauble.

My third and final bauble was made by simply alternating two different coloured pieces of card and gluing them together. As I was making this bauble I thought of how you could turn it upside down and perhaps make it into a hot air balloon! A project to add to my ever increasing list! If anyone beats me to it I would leave to see any projects made.

I have to add that I had to battle with rain and spiders in the conifer tree to get these photographs! All in the name of crafting lol!

The ingredients I used

Ribbon
Stickles - Diamond
Hot Glue
Core-dinations Card Red
Old Book Pages
White Card Stock
Collall - Tacky Glue

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Toodle pips!
