Evening Everyone!
As this is my first blog post of 2016 I should start by saying Happy New Year to you all! A little belated, as I can't believe that we're already half way through January!
Tonight I want to share with you a project I made for Hope and Chances Creativity using Spellbinders Contour Die Leaf Me Alone. Given the versatility of the fabulous Platinum machine I wanted to try a different medium and opted for felt. I have lots of empty glass jars in the garage, so I thought what better than to create a decorative jar.
The Platinum machine easily cut through a couple of layers of felt and so this halved the time for cutting out all of the flowers.
I adhered the flowers together by using hot glue and added a dimante in the centre for a bit of sparkle. The leaves and the flowers were then added to the glass jar using hot glue.
The project was finished by adding some pink ribbon and a bow to the top. This jar is going to make a great gift for my Nan's forthcoming birthday and I intend to fill it with her favourite sweets. It could also be used to hold cotton wool balls or perhaps even would look great with a battery operated candle.
I had some flowers left over and couldn't resist making a couple of hair clips for my daughter!
I think they would also look great added to a hair band or even a decorative broach. Here's my daughter modelling one of the clips :-)
Ingredients used:
Felt
Hot Glue
Diamantes
Glass Jar
Hair Grips
As always thank you for taking the time to stop by.
Toodle pips and bye for now!
