It's Been A While.....

Morning everyone!

I've been very naughty and have been a bad blogger :-(. I've not had chance to make any cards over the past few weeks, as I've been on holiday and then just had loads of things going on at the weekends. However, yesterday I made some "me time" and went on a Saturated Canary Class at Sir Stampalot that was run by Louise. We had an absolutely fantastic day, although it all went too quick and I'm already looking forward to the next one!

I thought I'd post the three cards that we made yesterday and all credit for the designs/layouts has to go to Louise :-).

I chose to colour my images using my distress markers, which seems to be my medium of choice at the minute. However, after seeing everyone colouring with their copics yesterday I feel the need to increase my collection!

Hopefully will not be as long for my next post. Want to get back into my challenges. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Cute Tilda On Mattress

Evening everyone! I've had a such a busy week at work and I'm so glad that it's the Bank Holiday weekend! Fingers crossed that the weather's going to be nice, although I really need to spend some time sorting out my craft room......I mean study if my hubby's reading this :-).

Here's a card that I made for a couple of challenges that I really wanted to enter.

I layered a couple of the Tilda stamps to make this image and coloured her in with distress inks. I added stickles to her crown to give her some bling! The challenge over at Midweek Magnolias this week is add Lovely Lace, therefore I framed the picture with some lace from my stash.

For this week's Magnolia Down Under Challenge it's Button It Up, so I used some button ribbon out of my stash and then added a couple of buttons including one in the middle of the bow.

I finished the card off with some flowers out of my stash.

Ingredients
Tilda Mattress
Little Cute Tilda
My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pad - Love Me
Spellbinders - Floral Doily Accent
La La Land - Heart Banner (loving this die)
Flowers
Button Ribbon
Buttons
Stick On Diamantes
Lace for around the image
Leaf punch

Challenges
Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Button It Up
Midweek Magnolias - Lovely Lace
The Ribbon Girl - April Magnolia Challenge - Add A Die Cut

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I'm hopefully off now to win the lottery :-). Fingers crossed!

Ivory and Cream Card........

Evening everyone! My second post in a day, but I really wanted to get this card done for a couple of challenges that I wanted to enter. I have to say that I'm starting to get hooked and they really focus the mind :-).

I was inspired to make this card from Julie's entry over on Midweek Magnolias by using just ivory and cream. I'm a big fan of white on white cards and really enjoyed making this.

As is my preference at the moment I coloured the image with distress inks and then highlighted with stickles glitter.

I embellished it with ribbon, lace (piece of recycled net curtain!), flowers and pearls. I also used La La Land Heart Banner, which I've seen on a few cards and just had to get. This is my first card using it.

The ingredients used for the card:

Go Kreate - XXL Square Frame - Frilly #9
Spellbinders - Timeless Rectangle
Die'sire Embossing Folder - Floral frenzy
Magnolia Tilda Stamp - Sleeping Baby Tilda
Magnolia Tilda Paper - Something Old
La La Land Die - Heart Banner
Flowers (WOC and The Ribbon Girl)
Lace(Net!) from my stash
Ribbon
Pearls
Rose Charm (WOC)
Distress Inks

Challenges

Magnolia Down Under Challenge - #193 - Going Green Baby Recycle (net curtain aka lace)
Midweek Magnolia - week #57 Copycat (inspired by Julie)
The Ribbon Girl - April Colour Challenge - Ivory and Cream

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Toodle pips.

Saturated Canary Nevaeh

Morning all!

Hope you are all well :-). I've been busy this week making a batch of cards for charity, which I've found really enjoyable, but I've also found the opportunity to make this card for the Saturated Canary Anything Goes Challenge.

Pink and Orange are a favourite colour combination of mine and I have used distress ink markers to colour her in. I really like Saturated Canary images especially the ones with the big frilly dresses!

I bought a similar dress to this yesterday, although it was navy - a thought for the next time I ink her up :-).

The ingredients for the card are:

Saturated Canary - Nevaeh Stamp
Distress Ink Markers
Spellbinders - Opulent Ovals and A2 Filgree Delight
Ribbon (Pink and Orange)
Flowers (WOC and The Ribbon Girl)
Gems
Paper - First Edition - Desert Blooms

Challenges

Bunny Zoe's Crafts - April Challenge - Favourite Colour Combo
Addicted to Stamps & More - Anything Goes

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Toodle pips!
