Hello ...... with Spellbinders Phrase Set Two

Evening everyone!

I'm up so late on a school night, but really wanted to share my latest DT make for Hope and Chances Creativity.

The die set I used for this month's make is the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Phrase Set Two, which can be found here.

This card is a great way of using up those scraps of paper, which we all accumulate. If your anything like me I have mountains of them!

I was really pleased with the way that the card turned out and is very on point if your into current music :-).

The ingredients list is a quite a simple one this time:

White Card
Black Card
Core-dinations
Collall (Tacky and All Purpose)
Pink Gems

Thanks you for taking the time to stop by!

Spellbinders 2012 Heirloom Ornaments Card

Evening all!

Hope you've all got the hatches battened down, as they say, because it's a bit bit breezy to say the least! I'm sure our bins are chasing my daughter's playhouse around our garden right at this very moment.

Anyway, I'm back tonight with another card I made spreading my Elliott's Angels Wings for Hope and Chances Creativity. This is the second card I have made using the very versatile Spellbinders 2012 Heirloom Ornaments, which is still on sale at a fabulous price. This time I wanted to make a card and here is the result-

I made the card using the waste from cutting out three baubles and then I used different scraps of paper behind the cut outs to create the baubles.

I added some ribbon to the top of the baubles and then some sporadically placed sequins to give it a bit of bling.

This is a really quick and simple card, which is great if you've got lots to make at this busy time of year.

The list of ingredients I used:

First Edition Paper - Stocking Fillers
Centura Pearl - Hint of Silver
White Card
Ribbon
Sequins
Collall - Tacky Glue & All Purpose

Check out Hope and Chances Creativity's blog here where you will find lots of inspiration from my very talented fellow Angels.

As always thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Spellbinders 2012 Heirloom Ornaments

Hey everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying a dry and safe bonfire night! I'm back tonight with my second project as an Elliott's Angel for Hope and Chances Creativity

My die this month was the gorgeous and very apt 2012 Heirloom Ornaments, which if you're quick to click on the link you maybe able to grab a bargain, as these are currently on sale!

My first thought when I opened the envelope and saw the die set was 3D baubles! I had a few ideas of what I could do and this is what I came up with....

The first bauble I made by cutting the shapes from an old book and then gluing them together, adding a ribbon, bow and a charm, which my mom had given me some time ago from an old necklace.

The second bauble was made by cutting out pieces using two of the dies and then gluing them together as above to form a open work bauble.

My third and final bauble was made by simply alternating two different coloured pieces of card and gluing them together. As I was making this bauble I thought of how you could turn it upside down and perhaps make it into a hot air balloon! A project to add to my ever increasing list! If anyone beats me to it I would leave to see any projects made.

I have to add that I had to battle with rain and spiders in the conifer tree to get these photographs! All in the name of crafting lol!

The ingredients I used

Ribbon
Stickles - Diamond
Hot Glue
Core-dinations Card Red
Old Book Pages
White Card Stock
Collall - Tacky Glue

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

My first Design Team Project as an Elliott's Angel

Hi Everyone!

Hope you've all had good weekends. Mine has been lovely and has been spent enjoying the back end of my Birthday last week :-)

Anyway my post today is with my first project for Elliott's Angels - such a proud moment! For this project my subject die was Spellbinders Mistletoe Card Front. This die is one of the Card Creator dies and consists of the decorative inner layer with the mistletoe and then a 5 x 7 regular frame.

For this card I decided to have a two colour tone theme and what better than white and gold.

Rather than have a plain background I decided to emboss the decorative inner plate rather than just cut it out and I quite liked the impression it gave of further leaves in the background.

I added Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia with a gold diamante for the centre.

For the sentiment I used Spellbinders Victorian Tags with the word "Holiday" taken from Spellbinders Holiday Sentiments.

The full ingredients for the card:

Spellbinders Holiday - Mistletoe Card Front
Spellbinders Holiday - Layered Poinsettia
Spellbinders - Shapeabilities - Victorian Tags
Spellbinders Holiday - Holiday Sentiments
Centura Pearl - Hint of Silver
Gold Mirror Board
Collall - All Purpose & Tacky Glue
Gold Diamantes

ps I'm very excited to have received my Platinum machine, as a birthday present from my husband! Can't wait to get experimenting. Thank you Hope and Chances for the great customer service!

As I always thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Teacher's Thank You Box Using Tattered Lace Dies

Hi all!

Hope you are all well! If not a little too cold! I'm sitting here in my Craft Room wrapped up in a woollen shawl with fluffy slippers on and I'm freezing! My husband thinks it's tropical, because we've had the heating on for one hour!

Anyway, I've not been here for a while, as I've had a most enjoyable holiday in Cornwall, a hen night, a wedding (not my own!), a trip to Blackpool and a change in crafty direction.

I wanted to share a box I made to put my daughter's nursery teacher's thank you present in, which I made using Tattered Lace Dies and my trusty old Crafter's Companion Box Board.

I was really pleased with how this turned out and the teacher was over the moon! I made a box using the Box Board and then cut a panel out of the centre. I then die cut from card about five of the Tattered Lace Cherished Hearts Corner and stuck them to the inside of  the lid.

And le voila! A fancy bow and a few flowers and the box was complete!

If you're interested in the gift I bought for the teacher then I had this made from a seller on Ebay. They had a similar item with a family tree theme, but I got the idea for the wording from browsing the internet. So putting the two together inspired this.....

That's my teacher's gifts sorted for the next 15 years lol! Big shout out for the Ebay seller who made it :-).

That's all from me for now! I have quite a few things I've been working on over the last few months that I want to share, so hopefully be back very soon!

Stay warm!
